What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teen Volunteer position at YMCA OF FLORIDA'S FIRST COAST?
Location
Various YMCA branch locations and community event sites across the First Coast region.
Time Commitment
Flexible; based on event schedules (weekends and occasional evenings). Volunteers may sign up for individual events or multiple opportunities throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup and breakdown (tables, signage, materials, etc.)
- Welcome and guide participants and families
- Support activity stations (games, registration tables, hydration stations, etc.)
- Help distribute materials, giveaways, or event information
- Maintain a positive and respectful attitude while representing the YMCA
- Follow staff instructions to ensure a safe and organized event environment
Qualifications
- Ages 13–18
- Friendly, responsible, and willing to help others
- Able to work collaboratively with staff and other teen volunteers
- Parent/guardian consent may be required for participation
- Must complete any required YMCA volunteer forms before service
