Salary: $49,500– $60,000 per year. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for annual licensure of all program sites, ensuring state licensing regulations are consistently met at all sites. This includes but is not limited to all physical inspections, life safety standards, child and staffing files, completion of ASQ's etc.
- Manages, directs and coordinates all early childhood education programs for assigned location including implementation of curriculum and assessments, collecting, reviewing and approving lesson plans, conducting observations, coaching and mentoring of staff and ensuring best practices, ADA and belonging in the early education space are maintained.
- Supports Youth Development Director, and collaborates with other Youth Development leadership as needed.
- Assists in the Recruitment, hiring, training, development, scheduling and supervision of personnel and volunteers as needed.
- Orders curriculum supplies and equipment as needed within budgeted amounts.
- Works with Registrar and/ or Business Manager to coordinate new registrations, ProCare, transitions, terminations, Subsidy updates (POC / ECAP) and billing issues.
- Assures compliance with state and local regulations as they relate to program areas. Continuing progress and maintenance of requirements for participation in Delaware Stars, NAEYC Accreditation and ACA Accreditation.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
- At least two years of progressive, responsible experience supervising a staff team of at least 20 members.
- Twenty-four months of experience working with school-age children in a group setting.
- Twelve months of budget, fiscal management/profit and loss responsibility.
- Twelve months supervising a staff team of at least ten people.
- Multi-Lingual
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university including at least 15 college/university credits in course content covering at least three of the following topic areas – child development, developmental curriculum planning, positive behavior management, health & safety, nutrition, family/community, and professionalism.
- Supervision of a childcare or camp staff team is preferred.
Salary : $49,500 - $60,000
