Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote literacy education.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Assess students' progress through standardized testing and other evaluation methods to tailor instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design effective curriculum development strategies that meet the needs of all students, including those in special education.
- Utilize Montessori principles and techniques to enhance learning experiences for preschool-aged children.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to support the overall educational mission.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents regarding academic progress.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is required.
- Strong knowledge of lesson planning, curriculum development, and literacy education practices.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment methods is preferred.
- Experience or training in Montessori education is a plus.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on building positive relationships within the school community.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required, a degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
