POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facility Support Technician position supports the work of the YMCA of Collier County, Inc., a leading not-for-profit organization committed to strengthening the communities in Collier County through its core focus areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. This position plays a major role in the Maintenance Department team in performing repairs and maintenance to equipment and facilities. Monitor facilities, grounds and equipment for cleanliness and safety issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor fitness floor, locker rooms, and common areas for cleanliness and safety.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on fitness equipment.
- Conduct daily facility inspections and address maintenance needs promptly.
- Respond to staff requests for assistance with equipment, supplies, and facility needs.
- Assist with moving equipment, room setups, and breakdowns for programs and events.
- Address minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair issues.
- Maintain building exterior and grounds, including walkways and outdoor spaces.
- Support emergency response procedures and small plant-related emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and risk management standards.
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs as needed.
- Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Report directly to the Branch Executive on all facilities-related matters.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic knowledge of general building maintenance and repairs
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies (50 pounds)
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed
- Indoor and outdoor work conditions
- Onsite attendance is required of this position.
- Completion of YMCA of the USA Child Abuse and Appropriate Touch classes
- Completion of the YMCA’s Blood Borne Pathogens training
- Completion of the YMCA’s Social Media & Digital Communications class
- Completion of the YMCA’s Safe Lifting training
- Additional training classes as required for this position to meet YMCA quality standards.
Salary : $18 - $20
