What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher position at YMCA of Central Texas?
The YMCA of Central Texas is currently seeking a professional, energetic, compassionate, and creative leader to join our team of educators as a mobile infant/young toddler Teacher! As a Lead Teacher, your focus is to develop and guide your class with enthusiasm, patience, positive guidance techniques, and an open heart.
Work schedule may be 8:30am-5:30pm or 9:00am-6:00pm.
Job responsibilities include:
- Create a developmentally appropriate program for our students
- Develop weekly lesson plans, activities and class set-ups
- Work closely with families to encourage mutual cooperation
- Ensure the safety of all children in our program
- Complying with CCS Rising Star and Texas State Licensing Standards
Requirements:
- Experience working in a licensed childcare center
- Passionate about the development and well-being of children
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university preferred
- Working towards a Child Development Associates (CDA) or AA in Early Childhood/Child Development preferred
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting
Pay Rate: $16.00 to $19.00/hour
