PART TIME HOURLY LEAD TEACHER
SCHOOL AGE (K-6 GRADES) @ GIBBS COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER
Seeking Individuals who will...
- Directly supervise a Before & After School childcare site serving children grades K-6.
- Ensures site operates effectively, maintaining licensing, safety, and Step Up to Quality standards.
- Develop & lead weekly lesson plans aligned with Ohio's K-12 standards & conduct informal assessments on children's progress.
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, school and district leaders, state licensing authorities, and community contacts
- Lead and be a part of an amazing team of YMCA staff focused on teaching teamwork and social skills and supporting children as they grow and learn!

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher in education or related field or CPL level 3 or above preferred (School Age Endorsement II accepted)
- Ability to pass a background check
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma/GED (required)
- Ability to be on feet for 3-5 hours at a time leading and participating in activities
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Early childhood classroom experience, including lesson planning & conducting assessments
- Demonstrates knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice

Starting Pay:
$15.00- $18.00/HR (flexible shift between 6:30AM- 6:00PM Monday through Friday)
Position Description:
- Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans
- Responsible for well-being and personal growth of the children
- Assists with homework
- Leads the classroom team that includes supervision of Assistant Teachers
- Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child
- Conducts parent conferences, and maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents
- Maintains classroom and program equipment
- Maintains required program records
- Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training
- Maintains training in First aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases and Child Abuse Awareness as well as 10 hours of Ohio Approved training per year. (trainings provided by YMCA and affiliates)
Salary : $15 - $18
