In search of:
Certified nurses OR current nursing students to fill the position of Camp Nurse at YMCA Camp Tippecanoe.
Qualifications:
- At least 21 years of age
- Nursing certification from accredited organization
- Nursing students are welcomed to apply
- CPR/First Aid/AED certifications required
- Pass background check & finger prints
- Attend orientation & required trainings for camp
- Ability to work all 9 weeks for SUMMER 2026 - June to Early August
- Season position - $850/week - commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
- Administer first aid & emergency care
- Medication distribution and management
- Register & health screen campers at check-in
- Organization & management of medical records
- Parent communication involving health, wellness, and care of campers
- Manage & maintain Health Center and first aid supplies
- Active part of camp community by monitoring daily activites
- Interaction with campers age 7-17 & staff ages 18 and older
- Children in household encouraged to attend camp
