Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.50 – $18.00 per hour
The YMCA of Central and Northern Westchester is a charitable, not-for-profit organization serving 66 zip codes across Putnam and Westchester counties. We are dedicated to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team as After-School Counselors in our Universal Pre-K (UPK) programs. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support young learners in a safe, structured, and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage regularly and positively with children in the program.
Maintain proper supervision and meet NYS OCFS child-to-staff ratio regulations.
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of each child.
Create a fun and nurturing atmosphere where children feel safe and supported.
Model respectful and appropriate behavior at all times.
Assist the Site Leader with daily program implementation.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old.
High School Diploma or equivalent (or currently enrolled).
At least 1 year of childcare experience (preferred).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to commute to location.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
