What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Trainer position at YMCA Cape Cod?
Responsible for promoting fitness & wellness through the YMCA personal
training program. He/she must understand & have a commitment to serving
the general population in their pursuit of health & well-being; be
proficient in developing & facilitating safe, well-planned individual &
small group sessions; be able to build positive relationships with
members & staff & be a role model for them, exemplifying high standard &
values; & manage those functions in accordance with the mission, goals,

effective workout sessions helping them meet desired health goals.
Conduct fitness assessments & personal training appointments with
members & maintain records of such. Communicate/follow-up with members
in a timely manner. Ensure that all YMCA personal training policies are
being adhered to by your own actions & the actions of your clients. Be
sure that all sessions are financially accounted for by your clients &
class participants & all payment receipts are properly handled. Follow
all tracking policies as directed by supervisor. Assist in the promotion
of the YMCA personal training program. Maintain clean work environment &
equipment, including proper use of equipment. Be knowledgeable of all
health & wellness programs so you can inform members. Attend staff
meetings. Utilize the Daxko Engage membership engagement program,

Wellness standards of quality, including dress code. Requirements Hold a
certification in personal training by a recognized certifying
organization (ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NSCA, NASM, etc.) Hold a certification in
CPR. Flexible schedule. Early morning, evening, & weekend hours.
Customer Service Dependable REPORTABILITY: Reports directly to the
Senior Program Director ACCOUNTABILITY: Accountable for the successful
operation & completion of all assigned tasks & functions. YMCA Mission:
