The Wedding and Family Event Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Senior Program Director with the daily operations of the YMCA Camp Pendalouan Wedding, Rentals, and Family Programs. With an emphasis on guest experience and satisfaction, the Wedding and Family Event Program Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Program Director to provide high-quality programming for the different types of rental programs that YMCA Camp Pendalouan hosts. This includes coordinating with the Wedding groups, rental groups, Pendalouan Staff, vendors, following schedules, providing high-quality customer service, and quick problem-solving.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provide excellent service to all participants, staff, volunteers, and guests.
2. Understand, follow, and demonstrate the Y's mission and values.
3. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
4. Assists the Senior Program Director with scheduling, planning, contracting, and communications with groups.
5. Assists in maintaining facilities and program areas.
6. Facilitate programming as needed.
7. Run activities and assist in keeping programs moving smoothly.
8. Work with the Senior Program Director on other projects as determined.
9. Assist the Senior Program Director by hosting weekend wedding groups.
10. Act as a positive role model while implementing YMCA character development and
following the four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
11. Assures all rented areas are set up properly, and assures all rented areas are cleaned and reset after the wedding rental period.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working towards a degree in a related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Relevant experience working in camps, hospitality, or the event industry.
- Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others.
- Exemplary customer service and guest experience skills.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Willingness to facilitate both large and small group programming for participants of all ages.
Pay: From $400.00 per week
