We are looking for a friendly, dependable, hardworking Front Office Medical Assistant / Receptionist to join our primary care team. This position is often the first point of contact for our patients, so we are looking for someone who is professional, welcoming, organized, and able to provide excellent customer service in a busy medical office setting.
The ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude. Prior medical office experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who is motivated, personable, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Greeting patients warmly and checking them in/out
- Answering phones and assisting patients professionally
- Scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling appointments
- Verifying insurance eligibility and patient demographics
- Collecting copays, balances, and payments
- Scanning, uploading, and organizing documents in the EMR
- Assisting with referrals, prior authorizations, and medical records requests
- Communicating with providers, medical assistants, and patients
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front office area
- Helping with general office tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Good computer skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well with patients, providers, and coworkers
- Medical office experience preferred
- EMR experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required
