Job Description
yhangry is looking for an experienced Private Chef to support a family staying in Big Sky, Montana during the peak ski season from February to March 2026.
This is a winter ski-residence role, focused on preparing daily breakfast and dinner, with occasional lunches, for four adults and one child. The family will be skiing most days, so meals should be hearty, comforting, and recovery-focused, while still feeling elevated and thoughtfully prepared.
Think: warm breakfasts before the slopes, après-ski snacks, nourishing soups and stews, bold flavours, quality proteins, and cosy dinners that suit mountain living.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily breakfasts and dinners (lunches as required)
- Design seasonal winter menus suited to an active ski schedule
- Prepare après-ski snacks and warming meals
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen
- Source high-quality ingredients locally where possible (butchers, ranches, markets)
- Adapt menus around ski days, dietary needs, and family preferences
Requirements
- Proven experience as a private chef, chalet chef, or in high-end hospitality
- Experience cooking for ski seasons, lodges, or winter retreats is a strong plus
- Ability to cook hearty, comforting food with an elevated touch
- Professional, discreet, organised, and reliable
- Full availability from February–March 2026
- Flexible and collaborative approach to menu planning
