Position Summary
The Plant Manager serves as the senior operations leader at the site, partnering closely with the General Manager to oversee all aspects of production and plant performance. This is a hands-on, floor-focused leadership role responsible for driving operational efficiency, quality, safety, and team development across all shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all manufacturing and support functions including Production, Assembly, Maintenance, Shipping & Receiving, Inventory Control, Materials Management, and Production Scheduling.

Serve as a key strategic partner to the General Manager, helping define and execute operational goals and long-term plant strategy.

Ensure production performance aligns with business objectives for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Provide direct leadership and mentorship to supervisors and department heads, building a strong, cohesive management team.

Champion a culture of continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; identify and eliminate waste, improve processes, and enhance productivity.

Maintain a strong presence on the production floor—observing, engaging, and driving performance through hands-on leadership.

Troubleshoot injection molding process and equipment issues; guide root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.

Oversee 5S, space utilization, and equipment layout to maximize efficiency and safety.

Manage budgets, recommend capital investments, and ensure optimal use of resources.

Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Program Management teams to support new product launches and ensure timely, cost-effective execution.

Drive workforce development through coaching, training, and performance management.

Foster an environment of transparency, accountability, and respect among all plant personnel.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent technical experience).

Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a high-volume injection molding manufacturing environment.

Strong working knowledge of molding processes, tooling, equipment, and production systems.

Demonstrated expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement techniques (Green Belt certification preferred).

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (IQMS or similar) and data-driven decision-making.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Experience managing budgets, capital projects, and operational metrics.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Compensation
