Job Summary: The Territory Manager is responsible for overseeing sales and business development with dealers and customers in Missouri and Nebraska.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Proactively source new business opportunities through networking, cold calls, web searches, social media platforms, shows, product demonstrations and through customer referrals and contacts.
· Serve as primary contact for dealers and customers offering detailed product knowledge, including features, benefits, specifications, availability, pricing structures, promotional programs, and product applications.
· Develop and manage promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and digital assets as well as displays and demonstration equipment to support marketing efforts and drive product awareness.
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients through communication and interaction as needed.
· Plan and attend trade shows, events, conferences, and dealer meetings to promote products and strengthen brand presence within the territory.
· Assist dealers by supplying all necessary information to facilitate their purchasing decisions, including accurate and timely details regarding pricing, quotes, and available programs.
· Work with dealers and customers to promote products, conduct presentations and provide training and support.
Qualifications/Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related field or two years' experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities. A comparable combination of education and experience in the field will be considered.
· Agriculture/farming background preferred; previous agriculture sales experience preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with dealers and customers.
· Excellent negotiation, researching, listening, and troubleshooting skills.
· Thorough understanding of products, marketing, and the agriculture industry.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, with the ability to multitask.
· Ability to maintain and build relationships with dealers and customers.
· Proficiency with computers using Microsoft Office, Excel and ERP system.
· Must be able to pass DOT physical exam requirements and maintain DOT approved status.
· Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
· This job is primarily sedentary but requires intermittent standing, walking, kneeling, turning, reaching and climbing.
· This position requires physical abilities and dexterity to operate all standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, keyboards, telephone, scanners, copy machines, calculator.
· This position requires visual, verbal and hearing acuity: must have vision ability to perform work and see a computer screen or written material; must be able to talk and hear with the ability to answer the telephone or communicate in person.
· Periodic travel is required to meet with clients and potential clients.
· Ability to work long periods of time while standing or sitting.
· Occasionally required to lift and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs.
The pay for this position is determined by the individual's skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
