Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and analyze financial models for prospective acquisitions, with a focus on operational feasibility and investment returns.
• Coordinate acquisition due diligence processes, including preparing due diligence materials, seller Q&A, managing third-party advisors and consultants, and working closely with internal stakeholders across departments.
• Support transaction execution, including documentation, coordination with advisors, and closing activities.
• Prepare investment committee memoranda and presentations for senior leadership.
• Conduct market research to identify high-potential geographic markets and acquisition targets using demographic, traffic, and competitive data.
• Use Placer AI to evaluate potential site performance and market dynamics.
• Analyze acquisition performance post-close to continuously improve underwriting assumptions.
• Support due diligence efforts for site dispositions, as requested.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses and support special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, analytics, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in acquisitions, corporate development, investment analysis, private equity, investment banking, or a related field, preferably within retail, convenience store, or commercial real estate sectors.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required; experience with data analytics platforms, Placer AI, and other financial modeling tools is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with self-motivated learning ability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive, positive, and results-oriented mindset with flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and deadlines.
• Willingness to travel periodically for site visits and market due diligence.
