Role Description:

This position is for a part-time, on-site AP Psychology Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.


Responsibilities:

  • Teach 1–2 late-afternoon sections of AP Psychology to high school juniors and seniors (Mon–Thurs)
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with course objectives and AP curriculum standards
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes inquiry, respect, and academic excellence
  • Encourage critical thinking and discussion around psychological concepts and their real-world applications
  • Prepare students for the AP Psychology exam in May
  • Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of performance
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or a related field
  • Experience in education, counseling, mentoring, or other roles working with adolescents or young adults is preferred
  • Strong background in Psychology with a solid understanding of key concepts and real-world applications
  • Prior experience teaching AP Psychology or high school students is preferred, though candidates with relevant professional or academic experience and interest in teaching are encouraged to apply
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and engage high school students in meaningful learning
  • Commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity, academic excellence, and positive student development
  • Experience developing and implementing curriculum, or potential to contribute to curriculum development, is preferred


Compensation (commensurate with experience):

  • 1 section (4 teaching periods): $13,000-$16,000
  • 2 sections (8 teaching periods): $25,000-$35,000

Salary : $25,000 - $35,000
