As the first point of contact for our students, families, and guests, the front desk receptionist plays a vital role in upholding our school’s values of professionalism, integrity, and exceptional service. As a front desk receptionist at Yeshiva, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining a professional and welcoming front desk environment while supporting administrative operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting students, staff, families, and visitors with a professional and courteous demeanor and managing check-ins with efficiency.
- Managing a multi-line phone system to answer and redirect calls promptly while maintaining professionalism.
- Handling mail and deliveries, including sorting, distributing, and scheduling courier pickups as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized reception area that reflects the school’s commitment to high standards.
- Administrative tasks such as printing, filing, data entry, preparing documents and email communications.
- Monitoring and ordering office supplies in collaboration with the facilities or procurement team.
Required Skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong reliability and punctuality are essential for this position.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using office software, including Google Office Apps.
- Technical adaptability in computers, printers, phones, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Valid clearances or ability to secure them prior to starting.
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strict adherence to school and security policies with a compassionate attitude.
- Ability to sit for long periods and lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
Experience
- Prior experience in a receptionist, office, or administrative role preferred.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Post secondary education is preferred.

Monday-Thursday 1:00-5:00pm
