Minimum: Maximum: Location: Jurupa, California Job Type: Full time Job Title: Mechanic Job Description: GENERAL PURPOSE: Under general supervision, performs inspections, service, repair and preventative maintenance of YESCO company vehicles, units, and equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Conducts preventative maintenance on all vehicles and units Inspects and tests functioning of units to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement Performs a full spectrum of repairs for YESCO vehicles, trailers, lift equipment, generators, engines, as well as many other types of equipment Troubleshoots and repairs faulty engines, parts, equipment, units, and systems Implements and maintains quality control, regulation compliance, and safety while performing duties Administers pre-repair washing and parts cleaning to make repair time more efficient Reviews manuals and diagrams to maintain knowledge of all units Orders, restocks parts, and materials needed to ensure efficient repair time and maintenance Prioritizes, plans, and schedules work procedures MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Transports units and equipment Welds and paints units and equipment Performs minor body work Advises operators on proper inspection and field level preventative maintenance Repairs and adjusts units to meet DOL or Crane Certifications Assists other mechanics as needed Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS: Interacts daily with employees in the field and in the YESCO facilities to discuss status of preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs of YESCO company vehicles, units, and equipment Interacts daily with outside vendors to order parts and manage inventory TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
