Position Overview
As a Sign and Lighting Technician, you will:
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and installations of 120V/347V AC electrical components (interior and exterior)
- Conduct service and lighting fixture upgrades
- Operate bucket trucks, tow trailers, scissor lifts, and other necessary equipment
- Complete minor and major outdoor sign and lighting repairs
- Document work orders and communicate effectively with customers and sales representatives
Key Requirements
- Prior experience in the sign and lighting industry
- Strong knowledge of neon, LED, fluorescent, and parking lot lighting systems
- Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting expertise in electrical systems
- Ability to diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools
- Valid G license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating equipment such as bucket trucks, tow trailers, and scissor lifts
- Comfortable working at heights (certification will be provided)
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand a written scope of work
- Proficient with modern technology (e.g., smartphones) in a paperless environment
- Professional, neat, and customer-friendly
