Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the operatory with the necessary instruments and materials for scheduled dental procedures.
- Assist the dentist during treatment by providing instruments, materials, retraction, or suction as needed.
- Sterilize dental instruments and disinfect the operatory between patient visits.
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate records.
- Perform laboratory tasks, including mixing impression material for dentures, and assist with prosthetic dentistry procedures.
- Develop and mount routine radiographs to aid in dental assessments and treatment planning.
- Maintain and update dental charts and records, documenting findings accurately.
- Follow security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled substances, ensuring a safe environment.
- Participate in disaster drills and adhere to YesCare’s safety and security policies.
- Adhere to Universal Precautions and infection control practices to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Inventory and order dental supplies to maintain proper stock levels for continuous operation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
- Must pass a background check, security clearance, and drug screening.
