Assistant Health Services Administrator Elmore, AL Category: Healthcare Employment Type: fulltime ID: 20001570046 Join YesCare as an Assistant Health Services Administrator (AHSA) and play a critical role in managing healthcare delivery in correctional facilities. This position combines leadership, organizational, and healthcare expertise to ensure the efficient operation of medical services and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Compliance and Accreditation Secure and maintain accreditation and inspection standards (e.g., PREA, ACA, NCCHC) within the specified timeframes. Ensure site compliance with correctional regulations and YesCare policies and procedures. Operations and Oversight Directly supervise site operations and oversee daily requirements to ensure smooth workflow. Coordinate the total healthcare delivery system at the facility, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness. Prepare, analyze, and manage daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific policies and procedures to streamline operations. Ensure Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) are completed accurately and submitted on time. Staff Management Recruit, retain, and develop staff, including contract staffing. Supervise and evaluate staff performance, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct annual performance reviews. Counsel and discipline employees as necessary in alignment with YesCare policies. Organize and lead monthly staff meetings, ensuring proper documentation and communication. Leadership and Decision-Making Exercise discretion and independent judgment in planning, directing, and managing facility operations. Participate in regional and corporate meetings to align local operations with company goals. Coordinate the Annual Health Services planning process for the facility. Healthcare Delivery Support Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with all applicable regulations. Accept on-call responsibilities, addressing operational or clinical emergencies as needed. Provide clinical support at the site as required. Performance and Quality Management Analyze and manage operational and contractual performance metrics for the facility. Monitor quality improvement initiatives and ensure continuous adherence to healthcare delivery standards. Additional Duties Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by management. Key Qualifications Education : Registered Nurse credentials degree requirement. Licensure : Active RN license (if applicable). Experience : Minimum of two (2) years of management experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Prior correctional healthcare experience is a plus. Certifications : Must maintain current CPR certification. Requirements : Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements. Occasional travel required.
