What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Rights Petition Circulator position at Yes On IP28?
In support of the Yes On IP28 campaign, End Animal Cruelty is excited to be hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Petition Circulators to help collect signatures from registered voters. IP28 is a proposed ballot initiative for the Oregon 2026 General Election that seeks to ban injuring and killing animals, including for slaughter, hunting, and experimentation.
Qualifying for the ballot would be a historic moment in the history of the animal rights movement. This would represent the first time that the general public had an opportunity to vote on whether society should move away from animal exploitation and put an end to systemic and state-sanctioned cruelty against animals once and for all.
Positions will be paid at a rate of $25/hour. Weekend availability is highly preferred. Applicants do not need to be registered to vote, or old enough to vote. We do not have funding to help relocate people who are hoping to move from out of state, however, if you are already planning to move to Oregon and do not need assistance doing so you are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
Gather signatures on a state initiative petition
Communicate with the public about the campaign
Qualifications
Must not have been convicted in any state for a criminal offense involving fraud, forgery, or identification theft (verified through a required background check)
Must not have been fined for not complying with any laws regarding petition circulation
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
