What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education One-on-One Paraprofessional position at Yerger Middle School?
POSITION TITLE: Special Education One-on-One Paraprofessional
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma
- At least one (1) of the following:
- An associate’s degree (or higher); or at least 60 hours of college credit
- Provide evidence of passing the Arkansas State Board of Education adopted Praxis Paraprofessional Assessment
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Possess basic knowledge of technology and keyboarding to support student learning
- Demonstrate patience, initiative, and willingness to learn
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assisting students in achieving academic success.
- Helping students by providing behavioral support.
- Consulting and collaborating with the Special Education and General Education teachers.
- Support supervision of and monitor students throughout the school day.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Present and communicate in a professional manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or administration.
