A Huey Magoo’s Team Trainer is responsible for providing on-the-job training to new and existing team members in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Team Trainer evaluates
the performance of team members and provides feedback to ensure successful onboarding and training. This position requires a strong understanding of Huey Magoo's principles and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads by example, creating and nurturing a positive, fun, and guest-oriented working environment.
- Maintains professionalism in personal appearance, conduct, and in the completion of duties by adhering to all of Huey Magoo’s policies and procedures and holds trainees accountable for following Huey Magoo’s policies, procedures, and responsibilities.
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of all menu items, ordering practices, and suggestive selling techniques.
- Recognizes opportunities to exceed guest expectations and responds to guest feedback with appropriate urgency and professionalism, displaying an energetic and empathetic attitude.
- Maintains a clean, sanitary, and stocked restaurant during their shift, preventing cross-contamination of food and promoting attention to detail.
- Trains new team members, giving their full attention, and bringing a respectful, positive, and energetic attitude to each shift, while holding new team members accountable.
- Identifies and coaches any gaps in understanding/performance in a timely and encouraging manner.
- Keeps record of training progress through approved sheets and communicates to management.
- Performs any other BOH/FOH duties, as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong leadership and people skills.
- Ability to be specific when providing instruction. Details are important!
- Ability to respond to, and give feedback, with appropriate urgency and professionalism.
- Ability to stoop and lift products and items over 40lbs.
- Ability to work standing for 8 hours.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English; multi-lingual is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a variety of temperature conditions, and with various chemicals and restaurant equipment.
- Must feel comfortable working in a fast-paced, loud, and busy environment.
- Working knowledge of Huey Magoo’s kitchen equipment (BOH)/point-of-sale systems (FOH).
