The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's tax compliance, reporting, and tax planning activities. This role manages federal, state, and local tax obligations while ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. The Tax Manager partners with internal stakeholders and external advisors to support strategic business initiatives, evaluate the tax implications of transactions, identify tax-saving opportunities, and minimize organizational risk.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for partnerships, LLCs, corporations, and other business entities.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings while maintaining compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze tax implications related to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing activities, and other business transactions.
• Evaluate and manage property-specific tax matters including depreciation, cost segregation studies, partnership allocations, like-kind (Section 1031) exchanges, and other tax strategies.
• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls related to tax accounting, reporting, and compliance.

About You
The ideal candidate possesses a CPA, and has strong technical tax expertise, particularly in partnership taxation, along with exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. This individual is detail-oriented, proactive, and has strong business acumen to support long-term business objectives.
