Graduate-Level Mental Health Internship (Unpaid)
About the Internship
We are currently accepting applications for a Graduate-Level Mental Health Intern to support our children’s mental health initiatives within a mission-driven non-profit organization. The role is designed to meet graduate-level practicum or internship requirements, including the possibility of supervised clinical hours toward licensure (e.g., LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.).
While this opportunity is designed to support academic internship or practicum requirements, placement is subject to availability and determined on a case-by-case basis based on candidate's fit and organizational capacity.
Internship opportunities may be available in the following areas and surrounding locations. Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Havre, and Lewistown
Primary Responsibilities

Clinical Support: Assist with the planning, delivery, and evaluation of therapeutic services for children and families under the supervision of a licensed clinician.

Client Engagement: Participate in supervised client sessions, including intakes, psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and case documentation.

Program Development: Contribute to the design and refinement of mental health programs and psychoeducational workshops tailored to children and caregivers.

Community Outreach: Support public education efforts and connect families to available mental health resources.

Administrative Functions: Aid in clinical record-keeping, data entry, and scheduling as related to service delivery and program tracking.

Qualifications
Qualifications

Education: Currently enrolled in a Master’s program (e.g., MSW, MFT, MA/MS in Counseling or Psychology, or related field).

Interest: Demonstrated passion for working with children, families, and underserved communities.

Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
