About the Role:
Yellow Letter HQ is seeking a entry level Print Operator to join our team in Chula Vista, CA. As a print Operator, we will provide training to ensure you are proficient in our digital print operations. You will be responsible for learning to perform and set-up print tasks, monitor the equipment, and troubleshooting. The ideal applicant for this position is self-sufficient and likes to stay ahead of schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Review job specifications for material and set-up requirements
- Perform set-up tasks
- Monitor the equipment and product through the job run to ensure a high-quality product
- Troubleshoot product or equipment-related issues
- Use computer-based workflows applications to manage files
- learn to Accurately document activities on Tier Boards and in relevant systems
- Evaluate the mechanical condition of equipment, complete preventative maintenance, and involve Tech support as needed
- Accurately mark, verify, and tag loads to ensure inventory accuracy
- Actively participate in company safety programs and contribute to a safe culture
- Meet or exceed established quality and productivity standards utilizing standard work procedures
- perform, and sustain continuous housekeeping procedures to maintain work area
- Participate in project teams as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher. Candidates with a vocational/technical degree are strongly preferred
- Experience working in an industrial setting with a wide range of production machinery
- Strong mechanical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, make decisions, and resolve machine issues
- Experience with Lean and continuous improvement
- Competent with rulers and measurement
- Good communication skills
- Able to run multiple pieces of equipment
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders
- Can regularly lift at least 5 lbs. above the shoulder as well as push, pull, and lift at least 10 lbs occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Can regularly stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach and kneel
- Can wear Personal Protective Equipment including steel toe shoes and ear protection
