Process Engineer – Food & Beverage Manufacturing Location: Onsite Job Type: Permanent | Direct HireOverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations in a Food & Beverage production environment. This is a highly floor-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, supporting PLC-controlled systems, and training operators and maintenance teams to drive efficiency, quality, and food safety.What You’ll DoOptimize food and beverage manufacturing processes to improve throughput, quality, and reliability.Troubleshoot and support PLC-controlled production and packaging equipment.Spend significant time on the production floor identifying issues and implementing solutions.Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on downtime reduction and waste elimination.Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation.Train and mentor operators and maintenance personnel on process controls, equipment, and best practices.Partner with Maintenance, QA, Sanitation, and Operations teams to support compliant production.Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and company safety policies.What We’re Looking ForProven experience in a Process Engineer or similar hands-on manufacturing role, preferably within Food & Beverage.Strong working knowledge of PLC-controlled systems (troubleshooting and diagnostics).Hands-on experience with automated production or packaging equipment.Ability to train and support production and maintenance teams.Comfortable working on the production floor and around machinery.Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Preferred (Not Required)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related field).Experience with high-speed production or packaging lines.Familiarity with CIP/SIP systems, fillers, conveyors, or similar equipment.Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.Yellow Door Recruiting, LLC is a full-service recruiting firm partnering with employers across the U.S. and Canada.
