Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assessments to develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual counseling using evidence‑based therapeutic approaches
- Tailor interventions to meet client needs and treatment goals
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
- Utilize creative modalities such as play therapy and art therapy
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and HIPAA standards
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
- Active Alabama licensure: ALC, LPC, LMSW, LICSW, MFTA, or LMFT
- Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health conditions, particularly children
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation procedures and ICD‑9
- Strong interpersonal and rapport‑building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate and client‑focused approach
