About The Role

We are seeking a driven, service-oriented Employment Specialist to join our team in Springfield, IL. This full-time onsite role plays a vital part in our staffing operations by recruiting, placing, and supporting associates while building strong relationships with both job seekers and clients. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, uses consultative sales strategies, and is passionate about helping people succeed in their careers.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Placement

• Recruit, interview, and retain a strong pool of qualified associates
• Fill 100% of qualified job orders with urgency and accuracy
• Coordinate and schedule interviews and assignments with clients
• Maintain high associate satisfaction through regular check-ins and follow-up
  
  

Sales & Client Relations

• Make 50 MPC (Most Placeable Candidate) calls per week and daily inside sales calls
• Convert local employment verification calls into recruiting or sales opportunities
• Support sales efforts by setting appointments and promoting service offerings
• Conduct client visits, complete safety tours, and invite clients to marketing events
  
  

Administrative & Compliance

• Ensure all activities are documented accurately in the system
• Handle associate verifications, timecard resolutions, and billing inquiries
• Assist with collections and routine reporting as needed
• Operate in full compliance with Express and federal/state employment laws and regulations
  
  

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with teammates to fill orders and align recruiting with sales goals
• Support office-wide effectiveness with strong daily communication and teamwork
  
  

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in recruiting, inside sales, or customer service preferred
• Strong interpersonal, phone, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficiency with computer systems and documentation tools
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices a plus
  
  

Working Conditions

• Work primarily in a well-lit, climate-controlled office setting
• Occasional travel to client sites with potential for varied weather exposure
• Must be able to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
• Occasional out-of-town travel may be required
  
  

Supervisory Scope

• Provides administrative oversight for up to 150 Express associates
