Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across diverse populations. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals.
  • Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, social communication, and swallowing functions.
  • Collaborate effectively with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems to document assessments, treatment progress, and patient interactions accurately.
  • Stay current with advances in physiology, anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions, and medical terminology relevant to patient care.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with pediatric populations in early intervention day treatment centers or school settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques for individuals with speech impairments and disabilities across age groups.
  • Familiarity with conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations utilizing standardized assessments.
  • Ability to develop effective speech-language therapy plans focusing on functional communication improvements.
  • Excellent collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teamwork involving educators and families.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing processes.
