Law office has a part-time open position for an administrative assistant with excellent attention to detail.
Position Responsibilities:
- Under attorney direction, send notices and prepare proofs of service for Court cases.
- Under attorney direction, prepare basic correspondence to Courts.
- Provide back-up to full-time administrative assistants on multi-line phone system to answer calls, set appointments, and provide referrals.
- Prepare new client files.
- Scan and copy documents.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education Required: High school diploma (AA degree or higher preferred)
- Minimum Experience Required: One year in a receptionist/administrative assistant/secretary or comparable administrative position in a professional office (experience in a legal setting preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to work in a small office environment
- Detail oriented and able to multitask
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Critical thinking skills
- High level of professionalism and client confidentiality
- Team player

Physical Requirements:
- Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Standing/Walking: Occasional standing and walking within the office environment.
- Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to 20 pounds, such as files, documents, and office supplies.
- Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls, including typing and writing.
Schedule:
- Hours will be fixed once agreed upon but are negotiable between the times of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
