Position Overview
As a Warehouse Associate w/CDL, you will play a critical role in ensuring materials are properly received, stored, and delivered safely to our customers. This position combines warehouse operations with commercial driving responsibilities, offering a dynamic and engaging work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately for shipment.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming freight.
- Maintain inventory and order information using the company ERP system.
- Assist customers promptly and professionally.
- Perform general warehouse tasks, including organizing, loading, and unloading materials.
- Safely operate Class B commercial vehicles (GVW over 26,000 lbs.) in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip reports, and required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with operations and promptly address any delivery issues.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, maintained, and properly equipped for safe operation.
- Observe traffic laws, weather conditions, and company safety guidelines at all times.
- Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle safety standards.
- Strong navigational skills with proficiency in GPS, map reading, and route planning.
- Ability to operate electric lifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and time-management skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb in/out of trucks, and drive for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must pass drug test, and all other DOT requirements.
- Willing to become a member of the Teamsters Union.
- Ability to perform warehouse duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
