What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fabricator position at Yeager Manufacturing Technologies?
Yeager Manufacturing Technologies is a job shop supplying quality products to all types of businesses – ambulance manufacturing, sewer truck manufacturing, government support (Navy and Army), and even space programs! Everyday is something new. Come join our skilled and passionate team!
Team member will be TIG and MIG welding standard materials to blueprints.
***NOTE: If you cannot consistently weld thin wall stainless tubing with a high level of quality, please do NOT apply. Most welds must be cosmetically appealing. ***
The applicant must be drug free and able to pass an on-site welding test. The welding test will consist of TIG welding of a thin wall stainless tube cope joint, and TIG welding of aluminum sheet metal.
Skills/Experience needed
PASSION for fabrication
Proficient in MIG and TIG welding of aluminum, steel and stainless steel
Ability to read engineering drawings
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to work and communicate with the team to produce quality products
Reliably commute
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe work area
Comfortable with general machinery (saws, grinder, etc)
Desired skills
General metal fabrication experience
Ability to train others
