Responsibilities
- Conduct obedience, protection, and behavioral training sessions for dogs of various breeds and temperaments
- Develop customized training programs tailored to individual dog needs and client goals
- Handle dogs safely during training exercises, ensuring proper restraint and control
- Monitor dog progress and adjust training techniques accordingly
- Educate pet owners on proper pet care, grooming, and behavior management techniques
- Maintain a clean and safe training environment, adhering to animal safety protocols
- Assist with pet grooming, sitting, or kennel duties as needed
- Heavy lifting of training equipment or animals when necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and concerns professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in dog training, protection work, or related animal handling fields
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant experience is advantageous
- Strong dog handling skills with the ability to manage animals safely during training sessions
- Experience with animal restraint, pet care, and animal behavior modification
- Familiarity with kennel operations and pet grooming is preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for equipment or animals
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and instruction
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of animal care and safety

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
