Position Summary:
The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing all parts operations within the collision center, including ordering, receiving, inventory management, parts quality control, and coordinating with technicians and estimators. This role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in all parts-related processes to support high-quality, on-time vehicle repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order OEM, aftermarket, and specialty parts according to repair needs and estimates.
- Verify pricing, parts accuracy, and availability with vendors.
- Receive, inspect, and log all incoming parts; ensure damaged or incorrect items are returned promptly.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory to minimize delays or shortages.
- Work closely with technicians, service advisors, and estimators to coordinate repair timelines.
- Track parts status and update repair orders within the management system.
- Monitor vendor performance, negotiate pricing, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company processes and industry standards.
- Manage parts storage areas to maintain a clean, efficient working environment.
- Prepare and review reporting for parts usage, returns, and cost control.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Parts Manager, Parts Specialist, or similar role in a collision center or automotive environment.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, repair processes, and industry terminology.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments.
- Proficiency with collision center management systems (CCC, Mitchell, etc.) preferred.
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts as required.
- Valid driver’s license.
