Role Description
This is an onsite role for an Interpreter. The Interpreter will be responsible for facilitating real-time verbal communication between parties speaking different languages, ensuring accurate and clear translation of the original message. Daily tasks include participating in phone or video calls, translating live dialogues, adhering to professional confidentiality, and assisting with cultural context when necessary. The Interpreter may also be required to assist in translating written documents as needed.
Qualifications
- Exceptional proficiency in at least two languages, with fluency in speaking, reading, and writing
- Advanced interpretation skills, including simultaneous and consecutive interpretation
- Cultural competency and an understanding of nuanced language differences
- Excellent listening, communication, and comprehension abilities
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and contextually appropriate translations
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
- Familiarity with interpretation tools and technologies is a plus
- Formal training or certification in interpretation or a related field is highly desirable
