Responsibilities
- Perform thorough floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore and maintain high-quality flooring surfaces.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, extractors, and carpet cleaning machines with precision and care.
- Handle and apply various floor cleaning chemicals safely, following all safety protocols and manufacturer instructions.
- Conduct regular cleaning routines including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, and detailed floor care to meet client specifications.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment during cleaning or maintenance projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by properly storing cleaning supplies and equipment after use.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally while ensuring their satisfaction with the cleanliness standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with a focus on floor care techniques such as scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing.
- Strong knowledge of floor cleaning chemicals, environmental services practices, and proper chemical agent handling.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including floor buffers, polishers, carpet cleaners, and related machinery safely.
- Skilled in manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and moving equipment or furniture efficiently.
