What We Are Looking For

Yazaki is looking for a motivated Intern – Mechanical or Electrical Engineering to join our FBU Engineering team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization. This internship runs full-time from May 11, 2026 to August 15, 2026.

What You Will Be Doing

• Project Work :
• Support P736 engineering tasks like special mock-up’s with customer, validations, reworks and Component registration for current and future programs
• Success Metrics: On time creation of Component Registration work orders, Wire Harness drawing checks
• Collaboration: Work closely with FBU Engineers, Supervisors and Principal engineers.
  

What You Will Bring To The Table

• Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
• Relevant Background: Degree/experience related to the position Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. Enrolled in a 4-year degree program.
• Commitment : Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 11, 2026, and August 14, 2026
• Technical Skills :
• Strong communication and writing skills. Problem solving skills, analytical skills. Ability to identify and assess problems. Experience using Microsoft Visio or any program to create Process diagrams
• Preferred but not required: Previous experience in Writing Methods, Work Instructions or Processes
• Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
