Responsibilities
Responsible for providing nursing care for patients in accordance with YRMC established policies operating practices guidelines and national standards of care to foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
Under direct supervision of Registered Nurse, provides patient care according to established plan of care, utilizing nursing process. Provides patient care working closely with Staff RN and healthcare team.
Qualifications
Minimum:

- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers
- Demonstrates competency in basic EKG skills by passing EKG test or successfully completing basic EKG class/modules within six months of hire
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Ability to explain treatments and conditions to patients and their families.
- Working knowledge of health care laws and regulations.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency.
- Less than one year nursing experience
Preferred
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Preferred: Electronic medical record experience; Cerner strongly preferred
