Under general direction, performs work of reasonable difficulty planning coordinating, and managing a variety of complex construction and maintenance projects through their entire project lifecycle. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Plans, coordinates, manages, and inspects complex, County-wide capital construction and maintenance projects.
- Assists in preparing, reviewing, and managing project bids.
- Performs on-site inspections.
- Works closely with utilities, other government agencies and departments to execute the design, planning and construction of projects.
- Provides guidance, and oversight for all phases of a project, including initiation, monitoring, and close-out.
- Ensures compliance with Federal, State and County requirements, codes and regulations.
- Tracks project expenditures, reviews invoices for accuracy and consistency with contractual obligations, and recommends appropriate dispersals of allocated funds.
- Maintains and updates project documentation and reports.
- Ensures project goals and contract requirements are met.
- Conducts special research assignments, gathers data, and prepares reports for consideration by management or special committees.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
The work environment is associated with an office and field environment, year-round in all weather conditions and includes exposure to loud noise, dust fumes, mist and chemicals.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, kneel, and walk on uneven ground. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effectively in person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Capable of occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
