What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Services Driver - Fleet Management (Prescott) position at Yavapai County Government?
This is a part-time position approximately 28 hours per week, with daytime shifts scheduled Monday - Thursday.
Under general supervision, transports and retrieves County vehicles for the purpose of routine maintenance, carpool delivery, and warranty delivery.
- Washes, vacuums, exterior and interior of cars and light trucks.
- Ensures all County vehicles are cleaned after scheduled maintenance as required.
- Transports and retrieves vehicles for maintenance, repairs, and loaner use.
- Tows trailers.
- Performs parts pickup.
- Drives to and from Verde Valley shop as well as to and from Phoenix as needed.
- Performs shop cleanup, inventory of equipment, auction preparations, and other shop related errands.
- Assists in using dispatching equipment.
- Answers telephone and takes messages as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Work Environment:
The work environment is associated with indoor and outdoor areas in all weather conditions and includes exposure to the elements and occasional exposure to loud noise, dust, and fumes.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Sufficient vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech ability to communicate effective in-person and telephonically. Capable of frequent repetitive movement of arms, fingers, and wrists. Ability to walk, bend, push, and lift up to 30 pounds.
