POSITION DESCRIPTION:.
This position is responsible for ensuring that the construction site is kept in a clean and orderly manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math skills required for measuring when assisting Building Inspector
- Skilled in the use and care of common hand tools used in construction work
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety procedures
- Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- : valid Arizona Driver License and insurable with the Yavapai-Apache Nation’s Insurance policy and maintain insurability throughout duration of employment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must practice safety precautions and be safety conscious at all times.
- Job location will be a construction site
- Clear trash and debris from construction site daily
- Dispose of trash and debris in trash bins
- Sweep units if necessary and dispose of waste
- Clear units of any trash and debris left from construction activities and make note of which contractors appear to be leaving trash and debris. Report this to Supervisor.
- Report any unsafe conditions to Supervisor
- Assist Building Inspector with onsite tasks when needed
- Ensure that fencing and security measures are in place at the end of each day
- Notify Finance Department when trash bins are full
- Must have high adaptability and exercise sound judgment, tact and professional attitude
- Maintains a positive working relationship with Tribal employees
- Accomplishes other job-related duties as assigned by Supervisor or delegate
- Performs other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to work in all types of climates, both indoors and outdoors. Work may be performed in adverse weather and environmental conditions. Work may be performed from ladders and possibly in hazardous atmospheres. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision; peripheral vision, depth perception and ability adjust focus. The noise level in the environment is at times typical of a construction type setting. While performing duties of this job the employee is required to sit; talk or hear; stand; walk; use hands to fingers, handle or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
Physical demands include, but are not limited to standing; crouching; climbing stairs and ladders; reading; twisting; repetitive motion and lifting fifty (50) pounds or more.
