Yates GMC — Parts Counter Salesperson
Join the Yates GMC team as a Parts Counter Salesperson. We’re a busy, customer-focused GMC dealership looking for a dependable, detail-oriented person to help customers, technicians, and service advisors find the right parts and accessories—quickly and accurately.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional parts counter service in person and by phone
- Identify, locate and sell OEM parts, accessories and consumables for GMC vehicles
- Use parts catalogs and dealer management systems to research part numbers and availability
- Process sales transactions, prepare invoices, and handle cash/credit payments
- Manage parts orders, receive deliveries, verify invoices and stock shelves
- Maintain organized, clean parts counter and stockroom
- Assist with inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Provide timely parts support to service department and warranty claims documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous parts counter or auto parts retail experience preferred (GMC/GM experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts terminology or willingness to learn
- Comfortable using computers, parts lookup software and POS systems
- Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift parts up to 50 lbs and work on your feet; valid driver’s license
