Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum along with our adademic coordinator to support the whole child: physically, mentally, emotionally, & spiritually.
- Assist in creating engaging lesson plans tailored to the individual needs of children, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for students and staff.
- Support toddlers and preschoolers with age-appropriate care routines, including diapering, potty training, meal times, and nap schedules.
- Conduct assessments to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns that may require early intervention.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental milestones, and lesson plans while ensuring compliance with NC & NAEYC childcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or childcare settings, including positive classroom management and lesson plan implementation.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and special education needs.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, as well as NAEYC & 5-Star regulations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Prior experience in NAEYC and 5-Star centers is preferred.
- Ability to handle diverse classroom situations with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
- Enjoy working with all ages - infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
