Yass Rug & Home Inc. is a wholesale rug and home goods company based in Lyndhurst, NJ, supplying area rugs, bath rugs, and kitchen mats to retail buyers including major department stores. We import from Turkey and China and are growing our operations team.
Job Summary
We're looking for a reliable Warehouse & Shipping Associate to help manage inventory, prepare orders, and keep our warehouse running smoothly. This is a hands-on role with room to grow as the company expands.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming container shipments
- Pick, pack, and prepare wholesale orders for shipment
- Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse
- Label and stage products accurately per order specs
- Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, forklift if certified)
- Make local deliveries using company truck or large van
- Assist with packing list and shipment documentation
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/move for extended periods
- Prior warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, if your not insurable we cannot hire you.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, order systems) a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to be trained)
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
