JOB DESCRIPTION:
Yards Done Right is a local landscape installer and provider of high quality Landscaping Maintenance.
We are a growing, locally rooted, small business that is looking for an EXCEPTIONAL candidate that can exude positivity, while improving the quality of multiple residential landscapes throughout the Olympia, Lacey, and Tumwater area.
We need someone with experience who can roll with the positive and negative moments that their work as a Maintenance Lead brings. Therefore levity and a sense of humor is a real asset.
This is hard work that requires a strong work ethic and a diligent team player.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
You can work up to 40 hours in a work week, primarily working on your own, so would need to be highly motivated. Local geographic knowledge is an asset because it affects the day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities will include: tracking the consistent, daily improvements at the properties for each and every client we serve. Tracking is done via a smartphone app, which we train you on. You must possess the basic understanding of how and why things grow, being able to identify plants so that we can avoid any sort of damage while the lawns are being cared for (EXAMPLE: when running a line trimmer during the growing season).
You must be able to work effectively and efficiently, doing minor pruning for trees, and shrubs. Fall season includes repeated cleanup of leaves from deciduous trees and cleaning up branches after stormy conditions. We work year-round so you must be able to work in all weather conditions.

Ability to communicate via phone, text, and email with team members and management. You must also be able to effectively delegate tasks as needed and maintain logs of vehicle, equipment, and maintenance.
You must possess the BASICS of a DRIVER'S LICENSE. Must have, at minimum, 2 YEARS within landscaping or gardening. WE USE POWER TOOLS.
Additionally, the pertinent experience of running 2 cycle engine equipment and knowing how to troubleshoot minor equipment failure. For example, starting a backpack blower and line trimmer and diagnosing a possible spark plug issue.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED. Smartphone with service required.
