We have grown from a garage-sized operation to our newest location - a 70,000 square foot state-of-the-art brewery and taproom - at 500 Spring Garden Street. We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to lead and oversee our brewery's production operations. The Director of Operations will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our brewing processes, maintaining high standards of quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role is crucial to our growth and success, requiring a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the manufacturing environment.
Leadership & Management:
Provide strong leadership to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, trust, and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
Oversee daily operations of the brewery, including brewing, packaging, quality, logistics, and maintenance while coaching for engagement and productivity.

Production & Quality Control:
Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Monitor quality control procedures to guarantee product consistency and safety.
Collaborate with the brewing team to develop new products and improve existing recipes.
Troubleshoot equipment and processes throughout the brewery to produce products safely and efficiently.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management:
Manage procurement team to source raw materials and packaging supplies, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Optimize inventory levels to meet production needs while reducing inventory costs and preventing out of stock for all customers.
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors and negotiate supply agreements.
Demonstrate integrity in all dealings with suppliers, ensuring fair and ethical practices.
Financial & Budget Management:
Develop and manage the operations budget, focusing on cost control and financial efficiency.
Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to make data-driven decisions.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Exhibit ambition by striving for continuous financial improvement and operational excellence.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
Promote a safe working environment through regular training and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Brewing Science, or related field. MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Food and beverage experience preferred.
Contract manufacturing experience a plus.
Proven ability to manage and lead a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in using ERP software and other relevant tools.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial reports.
Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance requirements in the food and beverage industry.
