Duties
- Greet guests warmly and efficiently, providing attentive table service from seating to departure
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while handling cash register operations and sales transactions processing
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations; bus tables promptly to ensure a tidy environment
- Assist with food preparation, beverage mixing, and garnishing to support kitchen and bar staff when needed
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail recipes, and food industry trends to provide expert recommendations
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Follow sanitation protocols including proper food handling, sanitation standards, and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Ability to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in order taking and delivery
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
- Experience with food handling, sanitation standards, and proper food preparation practices
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills; previous host/hostess or bussing experience is beneficial
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant hours
