Truck Loader/Class A CDL Driver
3rd SHIFT (11:00pm - 7:30am)

Responsibilities
A loader/class A CDL driver is responsible for safely loading material onto trucks and filling in as a backup driver to deliver orders to customers for next day delivery.
- Safety first!
- Identify material for loading by matching work orders to inventory tags.
- Move material using forklifts, side loaders and overhead cranes.
- Transport material from zoned areas to appropriate delivery vehicles.
- Properly load material onto trucks to avoid shifting and damage.
- Continually adjust loads as needed.
- Inspect material surface conditions as material is being loaded.
- Follow all work instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Move trucks in and out of loading zones.
- Deliver material safely and efficiently according to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre/post trip inspections according to DOT regulations.
- Inspect loads, ensure they are secure, and verify weights are within limits.
- Inspect the condition of the material and verify piece counts.
- Report overages, shortages, and damaged material.
- Assist with loading and unloading material at points of delivery and pickup.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner.
- Complete logs and paperwork legibly, accurately, and completely.
- Maintain a safe and clean driving record.
- Report vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Comply with all DOT driver regulations and requirements.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Class A CDL license, medical card, and clean MVR.
- 1-6 months experience operating a tractor trailer.
- Warehouse material handling and forklift experience required.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand work instructions in English.
- Experience safely working in a fast-paced environment with deadlines is required.
- Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions required.
- Must be able to read and understand basic measurement functions (ruler, caliper, etc.)
- Pass human performance evaluation and meet physical requirements (lifting up to 70 lbs., pushing, pulling, etc.)
